Tip Calculator
Split a bill fairly: enter the amount, tip percent, and party size to see the tip, total, and per-person share.
Shows the tip, total, and per-person amount. Set tip to 0% to split a bill evenly.
Tip and per-person math
The tip is the bill × the tip rate. The total is the bill plus the tip, and the per-person amount is the total divided by the number of people. For example, $60 with a 15% tip split by 3 is a $9 tip, a $69 total, and $23 each.
Tipping norms vary by country
- United States: 15–20% is customary, adjusted for service.
- Europe: a service charge is often included, so people leave only small change.
- Korea/Japan: tipping is generally not expected — useful to know when travelling.
Also a bill-splitter
Set the tip to 0% and it works as a plain split-the-bill (1/N) calculator. Just enter the amount and the number of people to see each person's share.
The amounts you enter are calculated in your browser and never sent to a server.
